Consumed by an overwhelming sense of guilt and a distorted desire to 'care' for him one last time, she became consumed by the Entity. Her spirit was bound to the realm, transformed into The Caretaker. She now wanders the foggy trials, her spectral hands reaching out to those who have lost their way, driven by a twisted maternal instinct that sees all Survivors as children needing protection through confinement.

In Their Own Story

The mist clung thick around Yui's feet, obscuring the path she once knew so well. In her mind, the trial grounds were not a prison, but a nursery where she could finally keep Kenji safe from the sickness that had stolen him away. A Survivor ran past, their breath hitching in the cold air. To Yui, they looked like a frightened child running into danger. Her spectral hands erupted from the ground, glowing with an eerie blue light, not to harm, but to hold them back, to keep them within her reach until she could 'heal' them.

Origin Story Yui Kimura was a mother driven by grief after her son's death. Believing she could protect him from the world, she became an agent of the Entity, now known as The Caretaker, tasked with hunting Survivors in a twisted act of 'care'. Abilities Her primary power allows her to manifest spectral hands that can grab Survivors, pull them toward her, or block their escape. She can also place Totems that grant her temporary speed boosts and reveal the location of nearby Survivors when they interact with generators. Loadout Options Players can equip Add-ons that enhance her spectral energy, increase the range of her grabs, or extend the duration of her Totem effects. Cosmetic skins often reflect her tragic backstory, featuring traditional Japanese attire mixed with ethereal, ghostly elements. Matchmaking Role The Caretaker excels at controlling territory and applying pressure. Her ability to grab Survivors from a distance makes her effective at catching those trying to hide or repair generators quickly. She is best played by players who enjoy strategic positioning and disrupting Survivor coordination.
