The Factory
A rusted labyrinth where the screams of laborers echo through the cold, metallic halls.
The Factory ranks among The Realm's most iconic and frequently visited locations, holding grim memories for countless Survivors and Killers. Unlike the organic or architectural anomalies found elsewhere, this map is defined by industrial decay, a twisted echo of mass production and labor. It shows how easily the Entity corrupts mundane human environments into nightmarish labyrinths designed solely for the Hunt.

Lore & Background
The Entity has repurposed this space into a perfect hunting ground, utilizing its maze-like layout of narrow corridors, catwalks, and open warehouse floors. The architecture suggests a place where time has stopped; clocks hang frozen on the walls, and conveyor belts lie still yet appear ready to spring to life at any moment. Survivors who enter often feel the crushing weight of an endless shift that never ends, trapped in a cycle of labor that only concludes when they are claimed by the Killer.
In Their Own Story
The heavy iron door groans as it swings shut behind you, sealing off the outside world. The air is cold and smells of wet rust. You step onto the grated floor, your footsteps echoing loudly against the corrugated metal walls. Above, a single flickering light casts long, dancing shadows that seem to stretch toward you. A distant whistle blows, sharp and piercing, but there is no one here but you and the thing waiting in the dark. The conveyor belt ahead shudders, then stops with a metallic clang.
Reader's Guide
Atmosphere & History The Factory exudes a claustrophobic industrial dread, characterized by dim lighting, rusted metal surfaces, and the constant hum of phantom machinery. It represents the grim reality of forgotten labor, where every corner feels like it was designed to trap rather than facilitate work. Terrain Breakdown The map is divided into distinct zones: a central warehouse area with high ceilings, narrow office corridors lined with filing cabinets, and elevated catwalks overlooking the main floor. Key landmarks include the control room, the boiler section, and the loading dock area, all connected by tight choke points that favor quick chases. Interactive Elements Survivors will find numerous pallets strategically placed in hallways to drop on pursuing Killers, alongside a high density of windows for rapid traversal. Generators are often tucked away in corners or behind machinery, requiring careful navigation to reach safely without being spotted. Map-Specific Mechanics The Factory is known for its 'Box' design, where many areas loop back on themselves, creating complex chase routes. The abundance of pallets makes it a high-skill map for both Survivors trying to escape and Killers attempting to break the flow of the game.
